Ima nanji desuka?

Grade 2 students learned how to read clocks in Japanese.
Some students were very confident to write time because we already studied numbers in Kanji.

We say the hours first, then the minutes.
For example, 6:05 is roku ji go hun.
Ji(時)means "o'clock." "Fun or pun(分)" is "minutes."
We also learned the special word for 30 minutes. It is said "30 pun" or "Han(半)" means half.

JNL students also read "Su-ho no shiroi uma" from their Kokugo textbook this week.
