Before the winter break, Grade 2 had been learning about measuring length and the relationships between the units of measurement like millimeters, centimeters, meters, and kilometers. Now we are continuing that by learning about weight in grams and kilograms. Here we are using a scale to compare the weights of different objects and understand the scale on the scale.
Each student also got the chance to test their own "internal scales" and see how accurately they could fill up a jar with 1 kg of glass stones without using the scale to measure.
She was pretty close!!!
