Using Mario Paint to Write Music

For music class we have been leaning the basics of reading music and playing the recorder.  Now for our unit on "How we express ourselves" the class is moving onto writing music by using the video game software called "Mario Paint".  The students have had a fun time using the interesting and unique sounds that the software offers to create their own versions of the songs we learned on the recorder or completely writing their own song.  The software is a great simple way for students to place the notes into the sheet music and play back their creations instantly.
